Hey everyone, first of all, I hope that you’re all doing well during this time. Please take care of your health and your love ones.
Anyway, onto the today’s topic…
Dib Xwb have this elegance to her and her songs are really good. I love that she usually have themes to her song, and this song doesn’t fail that. I also love her dresses; they’re very pretty and goes with the new fashion. However, I will always prefer the more traditional Hmong clothings because they’re more representative of Hmong.
With so much that has been going on… let’s get started with my random thoughts.
This song is about being patient, specially how Hmong woman have to be patient towards their husband. In Hmong culture, women are to be graceful and elegant, upholding their parents and husband’s name.
You may ask, if this is the woman’s duty, what is the man’s?
Lyrics (Hmong & English): I couldn’t find the Hmong lyrics to translate myself; however, I did find this useful blog post on the translations of the song:
CREDITS to original owner(s), I do not own anything.
Enjoy the lyrics and translations 🙂
Anyway, this was just an interesting topic I wanted to bring up. I don’t have much to add on; since it’s been a while back when I started this post, somewhere last year. I just didn’t go back and edit much; however it was still something I wanted to publish.
However, what are your thoughts?
Please continue to take care of yourself and your love ones 🙂 ❤
